Purpose:
To recognize, appreciate, and honor diligent and inventive Webmasters for their superb job and keenness on their sites by presenting them with awards.
Criteria:

If your site is in another language, you must also provide an English section.

All websites are required to have only one pop-up per page while viewing the entire site. If your site has a lot of pop-ups per page please do not apply for any awards!

If your site has submission forms, you must have a privacy statement on your site and (if requesting personal information such as credit card numbers, telephone numbers, etc.) you must have the forms in a secure area within your domain.

If your site has a Flash Intro, there should be a way to skip it and have an alternate HTML version of the pages.

Your site must be observable using at least Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and/or Netscape v5.0, 800 x 600 screen resolution and must not crash or freeze the browser.

All your graphic images must have Alt Tags.

Your site must have more than one page (for blogs at least five entries), and offer something of interest to the visitor. If you are using another individuals material such as sound, poetry, graphics, or quotes, credit must be given to the author(s) or artist(s).
Make sure your spelling is correct and you used good grammar. All of your applets, images and links must work.

Blogs (Web Journals, Weblogs), can only receive the Global Award. It is for substance, spelling and grammar. In the 'Awards Sector' of the application form, just check blogger. Since most of the creativity and design are controlled by the web hosting company that
will not be considered when rating the blog unless it's very, very different. A lot of blogs are getting ignored that contain information that's well written.

For others, in order to be given a special award, your site will be rated for creativity, design, substance, navigation, graphics, spelling and grammar.

There should some form of site navigation on every page of your site and not just "NEXT", "BACK" buttons and you must have no broken images and links!

Your site should never ask me to download and install anything without clicking on a link.
Extra points will be awarded for good submission information in the meta tags.
I will not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 because of COPPA regulations.
Your site must not contain:

pornographic material,
-
links to adult pornographic sites,
-
get rich quick schemes,
-
sites that in any way promote bigotry, hatred or any racial slander,
-
mouse trails or any image/s following my mouse cursor for more than 10 seconds,
-
a lot of animated GIFs on pages of your site to slow down loading time. (Acknowledgment buttons on your Links Page are an exception.),

automatic sound on your site, without a way to turn it off,

You must provide a link back to my site if you receive any of my awards. I do check periodically for the links!
Admonition:
For those of you that feel you have to pilfer an award, remember one thing, the winners are listed on my Winners List and if you are not on the list EVERYONE will know that you stole it!
